From 1973 to present Mr. Stanton has worked in various capacities in the Geotechnical Branch of the Nashville District. He began his career as technical member of a drill crew working on the Wolf Creek Dam Seepage Study and Bay Springs Lock and Dam. He was the project field geologist for a test fill and test excavation involving engineering geologic mapping, instrumentation, and rock reinforcement for a large scale prototype construction in rock. Following his work on Local Flood Protection Projects in Pineville, Barbourville, Harlan, and Loyall he was promoted to the Chief of the Geology Section position, which he has occupied for the past 9 years.
