Dr. Stammer graduated from Vanderbilt's School of Engineering ('72 B.E., Civil Engineering) and has been a transportation professor since 1981. He has held previous administrative appointments at Vanderbilt as Asst/Assoc. Dean in Engineering and as an Asst Provost. His experience in transportation includes employment within government (TN Dept. of Transportation), private consulting(Atlanta, GA and Brentwood, TN) and education (Vanderbilt U.). He regularly teaches transportation courses in planning, design, and traffic engineering.
