Dr. Hoadley, a professor since 1961, also served as a project engineer with E. D'Appolonia Consulting Engineers in Pittsburgh, PA. He also serves as a consultant to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Span-Deck Corporation; ARO, Incorporated; AVCO Incorporated; and TVA. He is a White House Fellow and has received the George K. Wadlin Distinguished Service Award, the Tennessee Section ASCE Distinguished Service Award, and TSPE Engineering of the Year Award. Dr. Hoadley is a Program faculty advisor and has served on both the ASCE and ABET board and chaired the Tennessee Section ASCE Awards Committee. Honorary society memberships include: Tau Beta Pi, Phi Beta Kappa, Chi Epsilon, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Society for Engineeering Education.
