Abstract

This project will provide the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis with information on the suitability and quantity of land for proposed alternative activity in making the full transition from cultivation of sugar for export, in order to inform its land use strategy and overall sugar adaptation strategy. In so doing, the project will demonstrate the utility of applying geographic information system (GIS) technology in support of a land resource analysis for the island of St. Kitts.
